Music sperstars and twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known by their stage name, P-Square have survived unscathed form a ghastly motor crash along the Lagos-Ibadan highway. The crash involved Range Rover SUV, which crashed into the rear of another vehicle.
P-square is perhaps one of the continent’s most sucesful music group. The are report to be making as much as N30,000,000:00 per show. And the house they recently launched in lagos, which they named Squareville and the house is estimated N600,000,000:00. And in April of 2010, the twins were named Artist-of-the-Year at the All Africa Music Awards in absentia, at the time of the award, the twins were away in london performing at a concert, they rerportedly got a whopping $1 million as prize money for the award.
Yesterday, the music nearly stopped for the twins, when their Range Rover Suv, crashed into a vehicle on their return journey from a concert held in Ibadan. Fortunately though, Peter and Paul both came away from the accident unscathed. Although their SUV, was somewhat disfigured.
Peter said, “Fans please help us thank God as we had an accident on our way back from a show in Ibadan along the Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. A lorry hit and dragged us for over 12 seconds but our Lord and our God is always faithful and quick to show mercy. Thank God we survived.”
Travelling with the twins at the time of the accident was their assistant manager and lead drummer known as Papi J Ameh. Estimated by those who know as Africa’s richest band, the twin’s most successful album, Game Over, which debuted in 2007, has sold well over 8,000,000 copies worldwide.
