Parents of some students studying at UC San Diego have expressed anger and shock when they found out that a professor in the school, required the students to perform in the n*de in order to pass their final exams. However school officials have come out to defend the act claiming that the students were well aware of the requirements for passing the course before enrolling.
Particularly miffed is a mother whose daughter had to go through that experience to pass her exams, she states that the thought of her daughter performing in the n*de to pass her exams made her sick to the stomach. Officials are however defiant and deny that indecency is not a part of of the course requirements, that even though the students were required to perform unclad, that nothing seZual was involved. The officials also claim that students can opt to render their performances with gestures without really having to take off their clothes.
Some of the students who participated in the course, also defended the professor’s actions, insisting that it was all artistic and nothing indecent was involved with the performances. Dominguez said that the students are offered the option of being figurative or emotionally uncl*d. Students are made aware of the requirement from the first day of the course and he has never once received a complaint prior to this, professor Dominguez said.
As part of their final examinations for the course, students undress in a dark room filled with burning candles, and students who are not comfortable with the revealing nature of the course, shouldn’t enroll in the course, the professor said.
