1. Count your calories carefully

2. Eat every four hours
Never spend more than four hours without eating.Eat often but in much smaller portions.

3. Consume healthy fats
Fatty foods are not always bad. Choose foods that contain monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA).

This is because the monounsaturated fatty acids burns more calories during the first five hours after eating. Then you will feel satiated with fewer calories because of the content of natural fats. Foods that are high in monounsaturated fatty acids are foods like fish, avocados and nuts.

4. Manage stress
When your mind is stressed, it will impact on the body. The body produces the hormone cortisol, which can turn into fat in the stomach. Thus, when you are better able to deal with stress, this can also lead to a reduction in the risk of you having an increased belly fat.

5. Ask for help
To remain consistent with a diet, do not hesitate to join a group. You can follow a health mailing list via email, for their support and the latest medical information to stay motivated.

6. Make a note
You can also make a calendar or notes related to food and physical activity. Write in detail what you eat and in what quantity. This is to be remembered, so you are better able to control your desire to eat.
